Table Mountain Descent

Table Mountain Descent

This section of the Umgeni is a real gem. The water is clean, the rapids are challenging but manageable and the valley is wild and beautiful. Due to the technical nature of the rapids it is best paddled in a K1 unless the level is over 15 cumecs. The videos below give you an idea of the rapids at different water levels. Most of the time bank on 8-10 cumecs when there is a release from Albert Falls. The finish is at a lovely picnic site on Nagle Dam.
